Purchasing
I interviewed for a purchasing role and had a very positive experience (first round). The process included a skill test ( second round), which was challenging and required significant effort, but it felt relevant and fair to the role. The HR recruiter was extremely supportive and communicative, making the process smooth and candidate-friendly. The interviewers were approachable, professional, and genuinely interested in my background. Overall, it was a well-structured, respectful, and engaging experience.
- Could you share your insights and opinions on products?
Software Developer
First, we'll have you introduce yourself and explain some topics. Then, we'll check your skills, how you solve problems, how much time you take to do things, and your overall demeanor to see if you sit with confidence.
- How do you develop the use of tools?
Purchasing Manager
I was offered a job, but I declined because the initial 90-day salary was $5k less than I asked for (they initially offered $10k less but increased it by $5k after 20 minutes), and I wouldn't have medical insurance for the first 90 days. The contract mentioned they might adjust the salary to my requested amount after 90 days. I tried to negotiate salary and benefits via email, but they didn't respond until I followed up after about 3 weeks. They then rejected my offer. It was good to find this out early, as it made me question how they would treat me if they were unwilling to meet my salary expectations from the start. The process also involved too many interviews: one phone interview, one on-site, and two Skype calls. The HR person seemed quite young and inexperienced, and I felt like they were using me for a customer survey, showing more interest in my Yamibuy purchases and my current company's operations than the role itself.
- Could you tell me about the products you've purchased on Yamibuy?
- How frequently do you make purchases on Yamibuy?
Category Specialist
The interview process kicked off with a phone call with HR. The HR Manager was super nice and made me feel comfortable, telling me not to stress. We chatted about my past experience and how it fit the role. The HR person was really clear about the job duties and what's expected, so I totally got what the gig was about. After that, I went to the next round with the department managers. This included a skill test, which was a good chance to show what I can do. The department managers seemed really interested in finding the right person for their team and were easy to talk to. A cool thing was that the interview with them was in two languages. All in all, it went pretty smoothly and was well-organized. The HR team and the department managers were really friendly, making it a pretty good experience.
- Could you tell me about your knowledge of E-commerce and Yamibuy?
