Behavioral Technical Presentation

First, there's an essay screen where they look for a personal story, clear goals, and your own voice – steer clear of generic flattery or just repeating your résumé. Then, an online aptitude test with timed questions on math, verbal reasoning, and judgment. This shows how quickly you can spot patterns and stay calm under pressure; often, how you pace yourself is more important than nailing every answer. Lastly, an interview with an admissions rep. This part is behavioral, so be ready with STAR stories about teamwork, dealing with setbacks, and ethics. It's also motivational, asking about your reasons for applying, so show you've researched the program and can connect its resources to your specific career aspirations.

Presentation Behavioral Group

It started with a phone screen. Then, if that went well, I was invited for 4-5 in-person interviews, which also included a presentation. I met with other Relationship Managers, the Deputy Director, CDO staff, and HR. They also had a breakfast or lunch with the team, which was a bit weird and forced but also a good way to see the team and how they interact. The final round was with the Assistant Dean of the CDO.

The interview was with a professor who is interested in behavioral finance. The questions were pretty standard, asking about my interest in SOM, finance, and behavioral finance. We also discussed research questions in more detail. They wanted to hear about my past research experience, so I talked about a couple of RA internships I had done.
