I filled out an application and within about a week and a half, I got an email to set up a phone interview. After that, I had a second meeting over Zoom with the director of nursing. She told me she wanted to hire me and then sent me to HR to get everything else started. They sent over the offer letter the very next day.

We had two virtual interviews for the first round. One involved a case-like scenario, and the other was a casual conversation. The second round was in-person and included a case study, an interview with the manager, and a "competency" section where I had to present and discuss slides I prepared beforehand for the case.

The interview experience was very nice and pleasant. The interviewer asked interesting questions and provided detailed responses. There was a good amount of conversation. They helped explain what makes Yale unique compared to other hospitals and also how the different floors within the hospital are different from each other. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience.

The interview experience for this role was surprisingly poor, despite the organization's name. The internal IT systems seemed outdated, and there was a significant lack of communication and numerous red flags throughout the process, which spanned several months. If company culture is a priority for you, be aware that the building and offices are old, the interviewers lacked energy, and there seemed to be no clear vision for the future. I was told the current team is overworked trying to catch up, not focused on innovation. The organization appears to lack sufficient funding for its current state and suffers from a lack of direction from senior management and VP support.
