It was a really long interview process, stretching over several months. I felt like they weren't upfront about the challenges the role presented. There were three interview stages in total, spread out over 3-4 months. I wish I'd noticed the red flags earlier.

The professor initially spoke with me and then requested my three professional references. A few days after that, I met with two postdocs who are part of his research group. They asked me questions that were similar to what the professor had asked. I'm currently awaiting the final decision.
