The hiring process involved an interview and an English proficiency test conducted by the coordinator. This whole thing took about a week. I also got to observe some classes as part of the training before I actually started teaching.

Although there are several conversations, since last year the interviews have been conducted online. This is because the Director and owner of the school does not want to come to the unit to do it in person. There is a written test from the franchise and a conversation in English to evaluate the interviewee.

Confirmed questions2 questions
  • Why did you leave your last job and what was your salary there? If you worked at a competing language school, how many students did they have, what was their monthly fee, and what problems occurred there?
  • Are you a graduate of Letters or Pedagogy, or are you currently studying one of them? If not, the Director/Owner will say that you can only be hired if you start studying one of the two faculties, stating that it is a mandatory requirement of the franchise.
