First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at XYPRO Technology.
Software Test Engineer
The interview process was surprisingly easy and straightforward. It mostly involved questions about testing concepts, my previous experience, and how I approach problem-solving. The interviewers were really friendly, which made the whole thing feel pretty relaxed. All in all, it was a smooth experience that left me feeling confident and ready.
- Can you explain your usual QA concepts?
- What's your experience with TestComplete functionality?
Scrum Master
The interview process was set up quickly, skipping the usual screening. It was scheduled for 30 minutes but went on for an hour because the interviewer was actively asking a lot of questions. I was happy to share best practices and tips with real-life examples, and the interviewer took notes. A week later, I received an email saying I wasn't selected. I found this frustrating, especially after investing time researching the company, emailing the recruiter, and then spending an hour answering questions in the interview. It felt like a free consulting session for them. I've asked for a sensible reason to justify the time I spent, but I never heard back. I asked about the salary range beforehand because I suspected their budget might not align with my expectations. However, the interviewer requested to understand my experience first before discussing salary, mentioning XYPRO is exciting and supports work/life balance. I feel their lack of a proper response doesn't align with the values they expressed.
- Mostly related to the role, nothing unusual.
- This is a small company, so nothing custom or special about their processes.
Software Developer
It was a phone screening and then an on-site interview. They asked about the programming language I was applying for during the phone call. I don't think the person I spoke with was a developer. At the on-site, they asked resume questions and wanted me to code on a whiteboard.
- Questions about the programming language you're applying for.
- Questions about your resume.
- A coding exercise on the whiteboard.
Sales Executive
It was a 3 part interview process. The first interview was with HR, the second with the Director of Sales, and the final one was with two people who hold the same sales role. The final stages didn't have many positive things to say about the company.
- Tell me about yourself.
- What are your strengths and weaknesses?
- Why are you interested in this role?
