I applied for Software Engineer C# and it felt like entry to mid level. First, I spoke with the HR lady, who was super nice and made the interview process feel easy. Then, I had a meeting with the hiring manager. He was great and we talked about my past experience and project details. After that, there was a panel interview with some senior devs. It was similar, focusing on past project experience and other related topics. The third round was an hour-long session with tech leads from India. They asked some really broad C# and EF questions. I didn't do great because I wasn't prepared enough for C#, but if you brush up on C# and EF basics, you should be fine. They also threw in some basic JavaScript questions. The final round was another panel with a tech lead and a senior dev. This one really got under my skin. It started with some basic system design stuff, then moved into coding viewmodels in C#. I thought I did okay, but they acted like I should have known Xamarin and C# front-end since birth, like it's Xamarin in 2026. It wasn't rocket science, honestly. They had the attitude of FAANG developers but were working at Xylem. The senior dev also had her own questions, including what I'd do if a webpage was blank. I said I'd inspect it and check the console, and she just replied with 'Fine Whatever.' It was crazy how they acted like Meta/Amazon developers while working there. From this interview, I got a clear idea of their engineering standards. Honestly, I'm glad I didn't get an offer. Four panel rounds for an entry/mid-level developer at Xylem is just too much.

The interview process was straightforward. It included some behavioral questions and then a basic technical question. I was asked to open VSCode on my laptop and share my screen to type out my response, though the code wasn't executed.

I went for a walk-in drive for a Java backend cloud developer role. The first round was an MCQ test covering Java and AWS. The second round focused on AWS. The third round was about Java core, design patterns, and problem-solving. The fourth round was another technical round where they asked problem-solving questions with some edge cases. I didn't clear this round. If I had cleared, the next step would have been a managerial/HR round.
