Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Xylem.
Project Manager
There were 4 steps, including interviews with the headquarters in the US. The interview process lasted about 2 months. Questions were very targeted, but the overall vibe was friendly and aimed at making the candidate feel comfortable.
- Do you have experience with the agile methodology?
Project Manager
The interview process involved several stages. It started with a telephone screening, followed by four more rounds. I was initially informed about three additional interviews, but then I learned they selected an internal candidate. The time commitment required for this process felt excessive and unethical, showing a disregard for candidates' time.
- Were you asked if you were alright with working overtime?
Project Manager
Applied online and about a month later, the hiring manager reached out to schedule an interview with her and another supervisor. It went well and was professional. Then, a week after that, the hiring manager called to invite me for an in-person interview at the Dallas office, covering travel costs. I met the team and saw the tools and procedures for pipeline condition assessment jobs. Two weeks after that, the hiring manager let me know I got the job and HR was working on the offer, which was good.
- How would you handle a situation where there isn't much structure?
