Recruiter reached out within 48 hrs, I took time off work to prepare and attend. They didn't call on time, so I called them after 10 minutes. They were unprepared and couldn't answer basic questions about the department and reporting structure. They told me how and when to follow up for the next step. I followed up twice, and they went silent for 2 weeks, then said they were busy and hired someone else. It was unprofessional, especially for a high-level position, and I've seen a lot in my 20 years.

There were a bunch of video interviews first, then a whole day of interviews on-site. I made sure I could fit them all in, even though the company was always pushing to get them scheduled ASAP. It was the same rush for the on-site. I met all their scheduling needs. Sadly, I didn't get picked. It was super unprofessional though, they totally ghosted me and never let me know they went with someone else. After all those interviews, you'd think someone could at least reply to my emails or send a quick message. Nothing. Plus, they never paid me back for travel.
