First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Xtreme Consulting.
Program Coordinator
I was referred to this job by a current employee. The recruiter was very transparent about how many people were interviewing, pay compared to others, and my chances. I had a phone screening, then an in-person interview, and we emailed back and forth as needed. I did an onsite interview with my direct supervisor and got the job two days later.
- Aside from the specific job duties, what are you looking for in a role?
- The company did a good job of trying to understand what I desired in a position and how it fit with my career aspirations.
Systems Administrator / Software Development Engineer in Test
I found the job on Monster.com and applied. After a couple of weeks, I was contacted by email and phone. I did two phone interviews and then got an offer. We negotiated, and they gave me a better offer, which I accepted. I was surprised there was no in-person interview, but it means I did well on the phone.
- Do you have what it takes to be resourceful and tenacious, and to find solutions to problems?
Project Specialist
I had one interview with the hiring manager, who was also a vendor and a secondary Microsoft employee. After the interviews, I did a brief job shadow to see the position. Then I was told that if hired I would get a couple of back offers fairly soon. From interview to hire took over two weeks, plus at least another week to get security cleared and everything verified so I could have access to the building.
- What would you do if your keyboard broke and you were working the late shift?
Infrastructure Systems Analyst
It was a high-energy and dynamic interview, with great interaction between the Manager, Leader, and myself. The Recruiting Manager also participated and contributed to the process. I really liked the use of the white board table!
- Tell me about your background.
- How well do you think you've performed in the key functions of this role?
- Are you open to taking on responsibilities outside of your primary job description?
