Technical Coding

I applied and got rejected but then got an email saying the hiring manager saw my application and wanted to interview me. The interviewer was awkward and mostly sat in silence. I asked if he had questions. He asked basic Linux questions. Others were listening on Slack, which I wasn't told about. They accidentally leaked their mic, and I found out it was Slack when I asked who was talking. At the end, he said he just wanted to see if I was crazy. This was followed by a take-home technical test.

Technical Other

I applied online and someone from the hiring team got in touch within a week. They gave me more info and I had to fill out another form that was like an application. Then there was a pretty easy tech screen, no coding involved. It had some basic Python questions and one question I just didn't know the answer to. After that, a recruiter contacted me and I had to take a Wonderlic test and complete a software project. I didn't have enough knowledge to finish the project as specified.

Behavioral Technical Coding

The interview process started with a technical phone screen where they asked about my recent work history and career interests. Next, I had a take-home assessment which was a challenging but fun Euler problem. After that, there was a 2-hour virtual interview, split into two 1-hour sessions with different interviewers. The first hour was purely behavioral, and the second hour included both technical and behavioral questions. The interview overall wasn't too difficult. They took about a month to make a decision, saying they needed to interview more candidates, but it felt like they were just looking for someone better.
