First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Xero.
Partner Consultant
The hiring process was pretty simple and involved a few meetings with important folks at the company. The team members were really nice and made me feel comfortable. I felt like I could be my genuine self throughout the process.
- Can you discuss your approach to team dynamics?
- How would you describe your work style?
- Could you share an example of a time when you exhibited certain behaviors?
Consultant
The interview process included multiple stages. The team I met was great. Although I felt I wasn't quite qualified enough for the position, I made it pretty far in the process. Based on the interviews, the job seemed really high-stress and I think it would have been a better fit for someone with more experience.
- What motivates your interest in this role?
Partner Consultant
I had a 20-minute chat with HR over the phone. Then, I interviewed with the department lead and one other person. The interview was pretty laid-back, even though they postponed it twice before it actually happened. It wasn't a difficult interview, but the feedback I got was pretty vague and generic.
- Tell me about someone you look up to.
