Account Manager
I applied online and had an initial phone screen that lasted about 20 minutes. Then, I had an interview with two people I would have been working with. It felt pretty standard, but they mostly read generic questions, so I didn't get to do much talking. The next interview was more of the same. It was hard to figure out what they were looking for because they only said they wanted someone who could handle a fast-paced environment and was adaptable. They told me I was moving on and a recruiter would contact me to schedule the next interview within a day or so. A week went by, and after a few emails trying to get an update, I got a generic computer-generated email saying my qualifications weren't a good fit. I'm not sure what else I could have done since I was really enthusiastic about the company and product, followed up aggressively, and was totally qualified. The company seems promising with a good product, but their hiring process seems disorganized and they don't seem to know what they're looking for. The process took a long time even though they wanted to hire people quickly.
- Can you share an instance where you demonstrated adaptability?
Account Manager
It began with a 30-minute call with the recruiter, then a 30-minute Google Hangout with the hiring manager. After that, I had an hour-long video conference with three team members, and finally, a 30-minute video conference with the VP. The whole thing moved pretty fast, taking about 2 weeks total, which was nice. The team was really warm and open, sharing a lot about their experiences and making sure I had plenty of chances to ask my own questions. It genuinely felt like a two-way street, not just an interview.

Senior Account Manager
I applied through a recruiter and had a phone interview scheduled in 4 days. The call went well, and I spoke with HR. They asked standard screening questions. The recruiter contacted me a week later, mentioning they were actually seeking a pure hunter role, but the job description indicated 'Account Management.' I explained my background covers both hunting and farming. They had a separate Sales role open, so it seems there was some confusion about the role or the process. The whole experience could have been managed better, especially regarding the clarity of the role I was interviewing for.
- Can you introduce yourself?
