The interview process wasn't awful, but it could have been smoother and quicker. It lasted about a month. All the interviews were one-on-one. While that's fine, the problem was that everyone asked the same questions. It would have been a better use of everyone's time if they had done a panel interview instead. After finishing all the interviews, they said I was a strong candidate with good feedback from everyone. However, I didn't get an offer because I lacked Cerner experience. This was evident on my resume and from the initial screening calls. If Cerner experience was a must-have, they should have made that a strict requirement from the start instead of wasting my time.

Had a quick initial phone call then was invited for on-site interviews. I met with three different leaders. After being thoroughly interviewed, they did thorough reference checks (shockingly rare for companies to follow through on references). At this point, I felt excited and received an emailed job offer.

I interviewed in early 2021. The recruiter didn't even read my resume, just seemed to be following a script and firing off questions without much interest in my actual skills. He asked two questions that could have been answered if he'd just glanced at my resume. Plus, he really pushed for invasive details about my other interviews (names, size, location) and my past jobs (how would past employers/coworkers rate me?). I was hesitant at first, but he insisted on knowing names. When I asked about the company's future direction, he was standoffish and unsure. I get that it's an early stage, but I'd prefer questions relevant to the job, like experiences and behavioral ones, and maybe actually reading the resume.

I applied online on their website and they got back to me in a few days. Then I had a phone screen. After that, I went in for a 3 hour interview which involved about 30 minutes with each of four or five people from different departments.
