The interview was all STAR based questions, basically asking about specific situations like 'Tell about a time when X happened'. For example, they asked about leading an initiative to save money or disagreeing with a coworker. It was pretty straightforward, just study standard STAR questions and you should be good.

I applied for the same role I've done for years, so I'm qualified. I've left and come back a few times. I left once for a career change, but returned when my job moved. Another time I left to start a consulting business. I rejoined as a supervisor but the stress was too much, so I left again after agreeing to stay 6 months. This year I reapplied for a non-supervisory role. The posting was up for a month before I applied, and then it took six weeks for a phone interview. The manager called at the scheduled time. After asking a ridiculous question, he grilled me about my past departures. He said he had no issues with my technical skills. It seemed someone was angry I left and focused on that rather than future contributions. The manager then said he'd have the recruiter schedule an onsite interview, which never happened. I waited several weeks, then contacted the recruiter by phone and email, as I hadn't heard anything. Neither was returned. The whole process felt like an opportunity to vent anger and waste my time. The manager clearly has power and anger issues. The recruiter's silence was weird and not like the company I knew.

The interview was pretty chill. They asked me about 10 questions, like, really standard ones. The interviewer talked a lot about the kind of work I'd be doing. I guess they had an intern before who didn't work out, so they wanted to make sure I knew what I was getting into before I accepted.

Confirmed questions1 question
  • Tell me about a time you assisted a coworker at a previous job.
