The interview process was quick. I had a 30-minute phone call with the hiring manager where we discussed my background and teaching experience, and why I was interested in the position. I got an offer the same day and accepted it.

I first applied online and got contacted within two weeks to set up a phone interview with the national sales manager. It was mostly standard questions about my background and experience. Then, I had a second phone interview with another vp, which felt pretty repetitive since I answered the same questions again. After that, I was given a 'territory project' to complete, which took me two full business days. Once I submitted it, I got an email asking me to fly out the very next morning to meet with corporate. I had to buy the plane ticket myself, which was super expensive because of the short notice, even though they promised to reimburse me later (which took 6 weeks to get). Walking into their corporate office, I immediately felt it wasn't the right fit. The office was really depressing and outdated, with employees using fleece blankets because the heating was bad in some areas. Nobody seemed happy. I met with two higher-ups who were both rude and condescending. I had questions but felt too uncomfortable to ask. It was a bummer because I was initially really excited about the job. I left that bleak office quickly and wished I'd paid more attention to the accurate Glassdoor reviews.

The interview was very informal. I was running late, and there was no HR rep, no agenda, and no list of who would be there. It was clear the department was understaffed and needed help based on the quiet office and the last-minute feel. I was abruptly handed off to the sales VP for the second half of the interview, without any org chart or explanation. I didn't hear back from the company after spending over an hour onsite for the interview, which I attended on short notice.
