Account Executive
Had a 30 min phone chat with a recruiter, it was pretty basic and flowed well, just covering the main points. Then, I had four 30-minute interviews on site. One of these was a role play presentation with questions. The first three interviews went great, I felt like I nailed every question. But the fourth interviewer was difficult and seemed like he wanted me to mess up. He wasn't happy with my answer to his question about what I'd do first if hired.

Account Executive
I found the job online and reached out to the recruiter through my network. My resume was a perfect match for the job description. I heard back the same day and had a 30-minute phone interview with the hiring manager later that week. There was no initial recruiter screen, which I thought was strange. I prepped a lot for the interview because the hiring manager asked tough questions, usually saved for in-person interviews. I fumbled a bit but recovered and answered confidently. I seemed to have the right skills and stayed positive. I asked the hiring manager what I could clarify to make hiring me an easy decision and what his concerns were about my qualifications. He responded well and gave no indication I wouldn't proceed. After the call, I thanked the recruiter and the hiring manager. The recruiter said I'd get feedback soon. I kept following up and providing my availability. Almost two weeks later, the recruiter contacted me on a day I was unavailable and apologized for the delay. They said they decided to move forward with other candidates. They mentioned if a 'better fitting' role opened up, they'd contact me. I was surprised because I thought I interviewed well and expected at least an in-person or another phone interview. I was disappointed to be out after just one round. I told the recruiter I was disappointed but still interested in a better-fitting role and thanked them, asking them to pass on my thanks to the hiring manager. I think the hiring manager should have given me better feedback or managed my expectations during the interview. Asking about concerns and not getting an answer felt misleading. I'm looking for the best fit too, so I don't want my time wasted. Overall, it wasn't terrible, but my expectations could have been managed better. The recruiter did a good job keeping me updated and giving feedback, but the hiring manager needs improvement.
- What would you say Twitter's Business Model is?
- What qualities do you think make a good salesperson?
- Tell me about a problem or challenge you have faced and how you solved it.
Sales Executive
Got referred by a friend. HR reached out the next day about suitable roles and scheduled a call, but never called. Apologized and rescheduled. Next, had a call with the hiring manager, which was a good chat, but got no feedback. HR stopped replying to emails and calls. After 3 weeks, got a standard rejection email saying they had candidates with more experience, which seemed unlikely given the earlier discussion about language requirements for the Dublin position. The role is apparently still open. Despite liking the company and product, the HR and interview process were very unprofessional compared to other tech companies.
