X Energy Interview Questions
& Process

So there are like 2 to 3 interviews and then you get hired. You start with a HR recruiter call, then a couple of interviews with subject matter experts. The whole process takes about 2 months from the first interview to starting the job. The company also likes to hire internally.

I went through three interview stages. First, I talked to HR, who was really nice. Then, I interviewed with two engineers. They asked questions about real engineering problems and were professional and knowledgeable. They were also patient and helpful with clarifying questions. Finally, I had an interview with a manager. I was expecting technical questions from him because of his background, and that's what I got. He was very knowledgeable and his questions showed his expertise. Even though I didn't get the job, it was a good experience overall. Everyone was professional and quick to respond to emails with helpful information. I wish them well.

Heard about the company from a former coworker and applied for a role. HR suggested I apply for another opening since the first was already pending. After applying, I heard back in a day or two to schedule the first interview. It was a video call with three managers. They asked a mix of normal and personality-based questions, making it more of a discussion. It was enjoyable and lasted about an hour. Later that day, HR called to schedule a second interview with the division president. This was more about cultural fit than technical skills and took about half an hour. I received an offer within a week, and then we negotiated salary and start date.

I had three interviews with X-Energy to discuss my fit for the role. First, a 30-minute chat with a recruiter to go over job specifics, pay, and technical requirements. Then, a 1-hour session with some team members where we talked about my past work and how my tech skills match what X-Energy is looking for. The last interview was with the Area Director, lasting 1 hour, focusing on my engineering background and how I'd handle potential situations related to X-Energy’s goals. It was a smooth and quick process from applying to getting the offer, even with some tricky parts. Everyone was nice, professional, and sharp.
