I talked to the recruiter first, then the hiring manager. It was a straightforward process. I enjoyed meeting the team. The manager asked technical and coding questions. It was a good experience overall, I'd recommend it.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

The interview process was pretty good, not too much like some other tech interviews. Started with a recruiter chat, then talked to the hiring manager. After that, there was a tech assessment which was split into four one-hour parts. First, I did a presentation on a past project. Then, a technical test, mostly SQL. I also met with some of the team members. Finally, I had another chat with the hiring manager. They were cool about me rescheduling. Wish I'd heard back about the job offer sooner though. Overall, it was a better than average tech interview experience.

Behavioral

I had a phone screen where I learned about Wyze, the team, and their mission. I was also asked typical behavioral questions. The recruiter was nice and the interview itself was standard. I was told I'd hear back by the end of the day or week about next steps. A week passed with no word, so I followed up. The recruiter quickly replied, saying she'd reach out once the hiring manager responded. Another week went by, and I emailed again to follow up and restate my interest. It's now been 12 days since that last email and 24 days since the phone interview with no response. I feel disrespected and frustrated. I'm fine with being rejected, but the lack of communication and how my application was handled feels much worse. I would have appreciated a simple heads-up from Wyze about what was happening. There's no excuse for ignoring candidates waiting for updates. Extremely disappointed.
