The interview was chill and they explained the job duties really well. I felt like I knew exactly how to do the job after leaving. They answered all my questions and I got a tour of the whole hotel so I knew what they wanted.

The interview was 30 minutes total. First I met with the hotel manager. They asked me about my interest in the job and if I had experience with customers. We discussed how familiar I am with the area and any languages I speak. After that, I talked with the assistant manager. We went over what's expected in the role and about the workplace culture.

I applied online to wynham desert rose and got an interview invite. I talked with the front desk/Bar manager. He nitpicked my resume about me moving out of state and back, saying 'seems like you like to go back and forth?'. He mentioned they'd decide when they find the right person, so I knew I wasn't going to get it. As a Las Vegas native, I feel I have the right to move if I want to, and since most people here are from elsewhere, I don't know why he made that an issue. The job pays $12/hour and requires cooking, bartending, and serving at the pool. I'm still seeing postings for the position, so good luck to them. I won't be applying with this company again.

First, there was a discussion about the company's history and recent changes, like staff reductions. They talked about what they're looking for in an intern, noting that the HR department is small with only one person handling payroll. The role was mainly focused on payroll. We then shared information about ourselves, our backgrounds, and qualifications. After that, we had to write an essay about developing employees, which was a new area for the hotel. This was followed by an individual interview with the payroll manager. We talked about ourselves again, going deeper into what we expect from the internship.
