Sales Data Coordinator
I had a phone call for the role. The call started a little late, but that was fine. It was a great interview. I did not get the job in the end, but it was a good experience overall.
- Would you be OK with working East Coast hours from 6 AM to 2 PM EST?
Sales Operations Manager
I got an email to schedule my first interview with a Talent Acquisition Specialist. I set it up, and got a confirmation saying they'd call me. I was ready, but the specialist didn't show. Then, I got a text saying they were double booked and wanted to reschedule. No apology. After a lot of texting back and forth with the specialist (who had bad spelling/grammar), we rescheduled. When we finally talked, they asked me why I wanted to work at WYLD like 3 times. They also asked generic questions instead of looking at my resume. It felt like nothing I said mattered because a kid kept interrupting them during the 20-minute call. At the end, they told me the next steps. Two days later, I got a standard rejection email. Should've listened to others about this company. Their hiring process seems to be wasting candidate time and being super unprofessional. So, to the WYLD Talent Acquisition Specialist reading this: I didn't have a good answer for why I wanted to work there then, but I do now: I don't. Do better.
- Can you tell me why you are interested in working at WYLD?
- Would you be comfortable with commuting to the office?
- On a scale of 1 to 10, how proficient are you with Microsoft Excel?
Production Support
I got an email to schedule a phone interview for CBD Production Support. I was super excited because I love their products and was looking for a new job in the industry. With 2 years of experience in cannabis production and a real passion for it, I thought I had this in the bag. I had my phone interview and then they scheduled me for an in-person interview the following week, which was supposed to be today. They said I'd get a confirmation email with the address and details. I never got the email on Friday, then not on Monday, but I figured it was a holiday so I was expecting it this morning. It was cutting it close, but whatever, I was just really looking forward to the opportunity. Then I woke up and still no email. I reached out via email and text to see if the interview was still on and to get the address. Not only did they not reply, but they left me on read for the text. Around noon, I texted again saying I would have appreciated some communication and that I can handle rejection, but I don't appreciate the unprofessionalism. And of course, they're clearly reading the texts but not responding, though I know they saw them lol. Just really disrespectful and unprofessional all around.
- The in-person interview did not happen, so no questions were asked.
Corporate Social Responsibility Coordinator
So first thing was sending in my application, you know, the usual stuff like resume, cover letter, and then some short answer questions. After that, I got this invite for a phone call, which was pretty much just a screening to see if I was qualified and understood the job. Then I had a call with the hiring manager, who seemed pretty cool and interested. That one was more about specific skills and asked about hypothetical situations. The last round was a zoom call with the folks I'd be working with directly. It was kinda awkward, honestly, like borderline painful because the two people I talked to didn't seem very comfortable doing the interview. Didn't hear back after that, so obviously didn't do great, but at the same time, I didn't get the vibe that the team was super into it either. Maybe dodged a bullet?
- Can you tell me about your general qualifications?
- What is your understanding of this role?
- Describe your skillset.
