The interviewer was very personable and wanted to understand me better to see if my skills and interests would fit with what the firm needs. We mostly talked about the projects in my portfolio.

Behavioral Technical

The interview process started with a phone call, and then I was invited for an in-person interview. While I enjoyed speaking with the person on the phone, the in-office interviewer was a bit off-putting. They gave me a substantial GIS assignment as part of the interview process. Honestly, it felt more like I was doing their work for free rather than being evaluated. It was a really extensive task, more than I've ever had to do for an interview. To top it off, I never heard back from them, not even a follow-up. I even tried to reach out myself, thinking maybe it wasn't a good fit and I'd withdraw, but still, not a word – not even a polite rejection.

The process was pretty easy and nice, HR was super responsive before the interview. It was about an hour long and I talked to HR and a director. We discussed the firm's culture, its values, and shared some stories. I followed up after the interview but never heard back.

It felt more like a chat than an interview. They seemed to want to see if I'd vibe with the team. Just typical questions about what I've done before and what I'm into.
