First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at WuXi Biologics.
Automation Engineer
It was a contract position, the interview was for the PM group One teams. There were two interviewers, but they were both late. One interviewer started the interview, and the other joined about 10 minutes later. The interview was less than 30 minutes long. They asked me to outline my experience and some technical questions.
- Can you elaborate on your experience with vendor package equipment?
Manager
The interview process felt like it took forever, dragging on for months. There were nine interviews in total, and after each one, I had to send multiple emails just to find out what was going on with my application. To make things even weirder, the job description actually changed after I'd already gone through four interviews. Honestly, I'm not even sure they ever ended up hiring anyone for the position.
- Would you be willing to work unusual hours to accommodate the managers located in China?
Program Manager
The first part was a 2-hour group interview. It was a no-lead case interview with 7 other people interviewing. The second part was a 20-minute individual behavioral interview with multiple interviewers. You do an 8-minute self-introduction, then get 2 minutes for feedback on the group interview. Then there are 10 minutes of Q&A led by the interviewers. There are about 1.5 hours in between the 2 rounds for you to prep and rest.
- Can you share an example of how you showed leadership in a past role where you led a product development group?
- Tell me about a time you led a product development group and demonstrated leadership.
- How have you exhibited leadership skills while working on product development as a group lead?
Team Lead
I was contacted by the TABP for a general phone interview. Then, I had a meeting with the Hiring Manager and a team member for a routine technical interview about the role. This interview lasted about 45 minutes to an hour. A week later, I had another interview with an HR Generalist, which was an experience-based and competence interview, also lasting around 45 minutes to an hour. I should hear back next week about whether I'm chosen, but the process was straightforward and the interview experience was great.
- Tell me about a problem you solved and what you did to help fix it.
