Project Manager
I went through one interview and didn't get the job. Ultimately, they chose not to hire anyone and decided to hire an intern for the position instead. The two interviewers were pleasant and asked typical questions, and they also patiently answered all of my questions.
- What are your salary expectations?
Project Manager
I applied for a Project Manager role in late 2018, and the interview process kicked off in early 2019. First, there was a really nice initial screener call. After that, I moved on to speak with the hiring manager. That interview felt a bit off, like she was annoyed, but I figured she might be having a rough day. A few days later, the HR contact reached out, saying the hiring manager liked our chat but that the role had changed to contract-to-hire. I agreed to continue, and then had a series of interviews with people across the company that lasted 3 hours. During these, only one person explained the day-to-day tasks, and the details didn't align with my resume or career goals. I managed to get through it, and then the screener mentioned again it was a contract role and they were building a talent bench of PMs. The next day, they wanted yet ANOTHER round of interviews, another 3 hours. I declined and withdrew my application at this point, as it was already 6+ hours of interviews over three weeks, and I didn't feel good about the potential offer. It seems like disorganization is a big issue there.
- Describe a project where you encountered adversity.
- Can you share an instance of facing challenges on a project?
Senior Project Manager
The interview process was quite detailed but brief. The interviewer seemed to be reading a list of questions from his sheet without pausing. It felt brief but also intense. I didn’t get offered the job in the end.
- Tell me about a challenging client project you managed.
