Wunderman General Intern Interview Questions
& Process

I applied for an intern position at Wunderman productions in Gurgaon, which I found through my college. The interview process had a few stages. First was an Aptitude test with questions covering things like Mirror Images, Blood Relationship, Speed Distance Time, Problem on Ages, and some simple puzzles. The second round focused on HTML and SQL. For HTML, they asked about tags, specifically table and list tags, marquee, and a bit of CSS. In SQL, the questions were about JOINS, Stored Procedures, Group by Clause, Having Clause, and basic queries like finding duplicates or the highest salary. The third round was an HR interview, mainly to check communication skills. The fourth round was a Technical Interview where they asked about JavaScript, HTML basics (like margin vs. padding), and presented a diagram or printout for which I had to write code to create a WebPage, emphasizing correct tag usage. They also asked some behavioral questions.

I sent in my application online and the recruiter reached out a few weeks later. The first call was basically just behavioral questions. Then, about two weeks after that, they invited me to an in-person interview at their Seattle office. I met with three people there and it was mostly a chat. I didn't end up getting the job, but they said they really liked my profile and thought I might be a better fit for a different department. They even sent me another job opening and asked if I was interested! I thought that was really cool, and honestly, the second job sounded way more up my alley and matched my experience and interests better. Overall, it was a good experience, the timeline was fine, and the recruiter was easy to talk to.

Interview management was terrible. It was quick from application to first phone call. I scheduled an in-person interview with three people. The main interviewer changed on the day of, and the secondary one changed an hour before, so she had no idea who I was or what I was interviewing for. I had to reschedule with the original secondary interviewer a few weeks later. I was told I'd hear back by the end of next week, but it took another 2.5 weeks to get my rejection. The entire process took about 2.5 months, and I talked to 6 people over 3 meetings, all for a 12-week internship. It wasn't worth it. A friend had the same experience applying for an internship with them: 2.5 months of interviewing just to be told (a week before graduating) they had too many qualified applicants and couldn't hire them.
