Media Planner
We'll kick things off with a brief intro to the role, the team, and what to expect during the process. Then, we'll chat about your background, why you're interested, and what you're aiming for. Next, we'll dive into questions about the role, past experiences, and how you tackle problems. If it fits, there might be a quick exercise to check your planning, thinking, and communication skills. After that, we'll go deeper into the job responsibilities, what's expected, the tools we use, and our workflow. We'll also see how you work with others, take feedback, and if you fit with our values. You'll then meet the hiring manager and maybe some key team members. Finally, you'll have your chance to ask us anything about the role, career growth, or the team, and we'll cover the next steps, timelines, and references if needed, before moving to an offer if it’s a good match.
- Can you share an example of a campaign that didn't work out as expected, detailing what went wrong, any adjustments you made, and the lessons you took away from it?
Media Planner
There were 2 rounds. First, an HR interview, where they asked about my background and salary expectations. Second, interviews with the Hiring Managers, who probed my experience and assessed my fit for either Media Planning or Media Operations. It was important to research the difference between these roles to determine the best fit.
- Do you want to Plan or do operations.
Media Planner
It was a 3 round process. Started with HR, then a round with the hiring manager (who is the managing director). The last round was with the agency lead. The hiring manager asked technical questions on economics and tested my knowledge on CPM computations. The interview with the agency lead was more of a chemistry meeting.
- Can you explain the law of diminishing value?
- What is your understanding of economics?
- How do you calculate CPM?
