Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at WPP Media.
Analyst
it was a call with HR first, then a second interview with 2 senior members where they asked basic competency questions and questions about the media buying industry. The final stage would have been an in-person interview and an Excel test, but I got another offer and cancelled.
- Can you share an instance where you encountered and resolved a challenging problem?
Analyst
Had an initial phone screen with a technical recruiter, then about 2 rounds meeting the Manager & Director of the team. Then a reference check (3) and education background check. The final round was spontaneous, meeting with a Senior Analyst from the team. It was all behavioral, no technical tests, via Teams. They asked about background, experience, previous company, and why this role.
- Can you share your experience with campaign marketing?
- What are your motivations for applying to this role and company?
Analyst
It was a total disaster. They told me 24 hours before the last interview that the position was on hold. Then the same day, I saw it reposted. After I followed up a bunch, they just said they didn't think my experience was a good fit for the role.
- Tell me about your experience with SQL procedures.
- What are SQL Clauses?
- Can you explain JOINS in SQL?
