Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at WPP Media.
Accounts Payable
It was a really easy process. I had a screening interview, and then two interviews back to back. They asked simple questions, and I gave simple answers. The job itself turned out to be terrible though.
- Could you tell me a bit about yourself and explain your interest in GroupM?
Staff Accountant
The interview went on longer than I initially thought it would. There were 5 interviews back to back. Most of the questions were repetitive but easy to answer. They mainly asked standard interview questions and not many accounting-specific ones. However, we did have to take a quiz at the end. There was a really long wait to find out if I got the job.
- Can you tell me about your experience in your previous job?
- What are your reasons for leaving your current or previous employment?
Accountant
The interview process had two rounds of interviews, not counting the initial chat with HR. The first interview was with the hiring manager, and the second one was with the controller. The entire thing wrapped up in under a month. They asked basic questions, nothing too technical or difficult. Everyone was really friendly.
- Can you tell me about yourself?
- Could you describe the bank reconciliation process?
