The first step was a 30-minute call, which was pretty chill and happened super fast, like the day after I applied. They asked about my background, what I've done, and what I wanted to make. The recruiter was cool, gave me the lowdown on the job and why I might dig working at WP Engine, which was a nice touch. Then came a technical interview, and they sent over some notes to help me prep. The person I talked to was from the department I'm trying to get into and was really nice, making me feel comfy while I answered stuff. Good news came back from the recruiter later that day, and the last interview was set for the next day. It was a 45-minute chat with two managers from the Tech Support crew. They were awesome, not just firing questions but talking with me, sharing their own thoughts, which made it feel really natural. Didn't get the offer in the end, which was a bummer, but they gave me some useful pointers. Honestly, out of all the places I've interviewed this past year, WP Engine was one of the best. They kept me in the loop, and everyone seemed genuinely happy there. I'd def apply again if I got the chance.

Great experience! Very easy process flow, the whole time the recruiter was in contact and helping with any questions I might had. Right after the first call with the recruiter, I booked my technical interview and received a pdf from the recruiter with tips of what to prepare for, which was very helpful and interview was very straight to the point. A few days after the interview I received an email to book the managerial interview, which was done by 2 managers and also very easy, prepare your answers following the STAR method and you will do great. A few days after I got the answer and a few more days later I received my offer, but all of that was explained, and I kept getting follow ups about the process.

I applied on their site and they got back to me fast. After a quick phone screen, I went to a local meet and greet and did a technical test. Then they set up an in-person interview. The first interviewers were fine, but the second set seemed unprepared and not engaged. One guy seemed suspicious and questioned really basic things I said, like that I enjoy helping people. I can't say if he was doing it on purpose or if that's just how they interview, but it was weird compared to the other interviewers who were polite. They asked some of the same basic questions from the first round again. One interviewer asked about certifications even though they were on my resume right in front of them. Basically, it felt like they care more about specific personalities than anything else and they weren't really interested in me from the start. They said I'd hear back in 2-3 days after the interview. I had to chase the recruiter to find out they picked someone else.
