The questions felt more suited for an account manager than a marketing role. The team is part of demand generation, and their future direction wasn't very clear. The company is looking to partner with other companies, but it's not strictly B2C or B2B, which was a bit confusing.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

This was honestly the worst interview experience ever. I was in the process for like 2.5 months, had 5 interviews, and the final round was 3 interviews back-to-back, each 30 minutes long. Then, 6 weeks after my last interview, I found out about a hiring freeze and they weren't filling the role anymore. The craziest part is I heard this from a former colleague, not the recruiter. A month before that, the recruiter told me everyone loved me and an offer was coming that week. After that, the recruiter totally ghosted me. It's been days and still no word from them about the hiring freeze. If I didn't know someone there, I don't think I would have ever found out, or I would have just been completely ghosted.

I was referred by an employee and applied. The process took about a month. I had a phone screening about 3 weeks after applying. The midpoint salary was about what I was making. The recruiter was really interested and was going to talk to the VP about salary possibilities. I had a second round phone interview with the hiring manager scheduled a few days later. It went really well. I followed up about salary range and she said she wasn't sure and that the conversation was happening above her. I followed up a week later and haven't heard anything since. This is the second time WP Engine has ghosted me.
