First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at WOW Payments.
Operations
It was a three part interview process. First, a remote screening with HR about my background and why I wanted the job. Then, I had a virtual chat with a senior person on the team where we talked about my past experiences and how I'd handle specific situations using the STAR method. Finally, I met with the VP in person to discuss strategic thinking, working with other teams, and how I could help the company achieve its business objectives.
- Can you describe a difficult project you worked on, detailing how you navigated competing stakeholder demands while maintaining timely completion?
- Describe a situation where you had to manage conflicting priorities from different stakeholders.
- How did you ensure a project was completed on time despite facing conflicting stakeholder priorities?
Business Development Manager
The interview process is pretty straightforward, and you'll most likely get the job. It mainly involves behavioral questions where they'll explain the role and the product they're selling. It's mostly a sales-focused position.
- Can you discuss your previous work experiences?
Sales & Marketing Intern
I interviewed in Jan 2020 with the VP, who was really nice and motivating. The interview itself was pretty easy because it's an unpaid internship and they're looking for enthusiastic learners who are flexible. I ended up interning for about two months before the pandemic hit. The role mainly involves cold calls, but the CEO also offers great entrepreneurship and sales workshops for interns. The whole office environment is very focused, empowering, and motivating. I had a good experience during my time there.
- What are your career aspirations?
Sales Analyst
The interviewer was really nice and asked some basic questions. They said they would follow up, but I never heard back, so the communication was very one-sided. The office space seemed small and crowded, which isn't an environment I'd want to work in.
- Could you please introduce yourself?
- What makes you a good fit for this position?
- What are your key strengths?
