Sales Executive
Had an initial phone call interview and then was invited to a virtual interview with like 2 or more assessors. It was a really unprofessional interview, probably the worst I've experienced. Felt more like an interrogation, maybe it's 'cause of what they do. They don't care about any skills you got from uni, so if you worked hard for a degree, I doubt they'll even notice. Honestly, I'd suggest looking for a job where your academic efforts will at least be recognized. Unlike most competency interviews, they didn't let me explain my skills or talk about past jobs. If I tried to answer their questions, they'd probably talk over me, ignore me, and then talk about themselves. Anyway, I would've said no to the offer even if I got one, couldn't wait to finish the hour-long conversation…
- What do you know about WBR and why are you interested in this company?
- Why do you want to work in sales?
Sales Executive
The interview starts with a phone call that's like a casual chat to get a feel for your background and sales strategy, which is pretty normal. The next stage usually involves a panel of two or more interviewers. This part can feel pretty intense, as they might dig into perceived weak spots on your resume and challenge you to justify them, testing how you handle pressure. While that has its upsides, it also means you might not see the real person because they're put on the defensive. They could also do a better job of exploring how your experience matches what they need for the role. A big thing is that the interviewers often step out to discuss things amongst themselves and then share their thoughts with you. In my two experiences interviewing with WBR, the feedback was always super vague, and they couldn't really explain what they were looking for. It's just not clear what they want in candidates, and they don't communicate it well. Given my extensive sales background compared to most people who start here (often fresh grads with no experience), I have no idea how they pick people.
