QA Engineer
It was a referral from a friend. The HR contacted me really fast after the initial referral. The tech interview was quite challenging, felt more like an examination than an interview, with waiting times for answers similar to university or programming book problems. I passed this interview and the next one too. The manager verbally confirmed an offer, and then the HR also verbally confirmed an offer. However, the HR then proceeded to ignore my follow-ups for about a week, despite repeatedly assuring me an offer was coming soon and mentioning a January 1st start date. After two weeks of no contact, I reached out to the head of HR about being ignored by my HR contact. The head of HR sent a lengthy and peculiar email that seemed to shift blame onto me, stating it was a misunderstanding and no offers were ever promised. Even after I provided proof of the promises, the head of HR then also started ignoring me. Honestly, I can't recommend this company; it's not worth your time.

The interview was 1.30 hours long and had 2 parts. The first part was a chat with the Head of MLE and it was nice. The second part however was with an MLE. I thought I would be asked about my experience in MlOps and challenges with deploying models into production, but he spent most of the time asking me about math, loss functions and generic ML questions. He even sent a whiteboard invite so I could write equations. When I asked why, he said the role involves some research (for an MLE role!).

SEO Lead
I was contacted by a headhunter for a marketing leader role at WorldRemit in London. The first interview was with a senior marketing team member, not the hiring manager, and it went well, with quick feedback leading to the next round. This next round involved a strategy presentation to the hiring manager and interim CMO. I got the task on a Friday and provided my availability. By Tuesday, the headhunter was still chasing for confirmation, giving updates that she'd left voicemails. Finally, on the following Friday, I got a confirmation for the interview the next Monday. However, the interview was unexpectedly with two subordinates instead of the line manager, with no explanation. While interviewing with team members is normal, the absence of the line manager, especially after missing the first interview, seemed odd. I felt this process didn't make sense for assessing a candidate comprehensively. The headhunter mentioned the line manager and CMO might have been on holiday, but I found the lack of communication and being left hanging for a week unacceptable, especially compared to other companies I've interviewed with. Given this and negative employee reviews, I decided not to proceed with the second interview.

Customer Service Executive
The interview started with a group session involving 8 candidates. We all introduced ourselves and shared a fact about ourselves. Then, we had a short presentation about the company. Following that, we were split into two groups for two group tasks. After the tasks, one person from each group presented the data they discussed. The group part was pretty enjoyable and you could wing it if you felt confident. Myself and two others moved on. Next, we got to observe the customer service floor briefly. After that, I went into a second interview, which was a 2-on-1. I didn't handle the 2-on-1 questions very well because I wasn't prepared, even though they were basic questions. They gave me good feedback on this. The interviewers were nice, and the office looked decent.
