I had a total of 4 interviews, followed by complete silence. It was quite unprofessional how they didn't explain the purpose of each interview and then ghosted me after the last one. It was really unexpected and unnecessary, making me hesitant to apply there again.

- The final interview with the VP was quite strange; they clearly hadn't reviewed my CV or cover letter and expected me to initiate the questioning, which I wasn't prepared for beyond the couple of questions I had ready.

It was pretty simple. First, HR reached out and we had a 20-minute screening call. Then, a week later, I interviewed with someone at the Director level in the department. Another week after that, I had an interview with my potential boss, a VP, and a Senior Program Officer. All of these were virtual. Finally, a few weeks after that, I had an in-person meeting with my VP/future boss, the Director who already interviewed me, and the Senior Program Officer. I got the offer two weeks after that.

I went through an HR screen and then four more interview rounds, which took over two months to complete. The interviews progressed up the management structure, and the questions were pretty standard and manageable with good prep. Communication was prompt and professional until after the fourth interview. They said I'd hear back in a week, but I didn't hear anything for two weeks. I reached out for an update, kind of sensing the outcome, and got a generic rejection email from the recruiter a few days later. It was a bummer not to get an offer after such a long interview process, but I know what I'm worth and am looking for the right mutual fit. I asked for some feedback to help me learn, but that last email also went unanswered.
