Sales
Sales interviews can be daunting, proving you can sell before seeing the product. For my current role, I pitched my vision to the EVP and VP of Sales with a 30-60-90 day strategic roadmap. It's one thing to impress in a boardroom, another to execute; a year later, I'm still driving results with this team.
- Tell me about how you deal with rejection.
President
It was easy and friendly. I've known the team for a long time. They are good people, honest and hard working. The facilities are nice, and the company has a great industry reputation. There's great potential here in a challenging environment. It's a good opportunity for growth and expansion.
- Do you have the industry expertise needed, and do you want to manage a large P&L?
Full Stack Developer
I was submitted by an external recruiter on 01/20/2021. The client, a business travel services vendor, was looking for someone with 3+ years of experience in AWS, strong Front-End development skills (React, Node, Python, Angular), expertise in API integration and webservices, microservices architecture, AWS CI/CD platforms, experience writing/supporting infrastructure in CloudFormation or Terraform, and knowledge of Spark, Kafka, AWS Kinesis, or Firehose. I inquired about their revenue sustainability without business travel, but they didn't respond.
- Can you describe how your previous employer utilized Terraform?
Corporate Travel Consultant
I had a phone call with the hiring manager, then I spoke with the VP of Operations. They also made me do a GDS assessment that I had to send back before they'd give me an offer. After I finished the assessment, the HR Admin offered me the job. Once I accepted, the company covered my flight, hotel, and rental car so I could go to an onsite training in Exton, PA.
- Can you tell me about your past experience with GDS?
- How do you manage to handle travel requests via email while also taking client calls at the same time?
