They started by greeting me and asking for my introduction. Then they asked about my prior experiences and went more in-depth about the projects I did during my prior internships.

The interview process was okay but took forever. It felt like a waste of time because I got to the final interview and then heard nothing. The internship was supposed to start in Feb '21, then moved to March '21. I still don't know what's happening with it since nobody told me anything and the hiring managers never replied to my emails. I applied back in Nov 2020. I got an invite for the first interview with two staff in Dec 2020. Then I was asked to do a short writing task in Jan 2021. A few weeks later, I was asked to do a second interview in Feb 2021. The interviews mainly consisted of straightforward questions about my background and some open-ended questions about strategy and evaluation, which was the focus of the internship. There were no behavioral questions. The writing task involved summarizing some program information on a single page.

The process had 3 stages: HR interview, interview with people from the area, and interview with the manager. The HR interview is easy, with standard questions like 'tell me about yourself,' 'what are your experiences,' 'a weakness,' etc. However, the interview with the area leads was very demanding. Since it's a multidisciplinary area, they asked if you had command of each of the 3 work fronts of the area, mentioning experiences and tools you know how to use that are related. If you didn't have experience in one of the 3 fronts, you were eliminated.
