It started with a phone screening, then I went onsite. The office seemed nice and friendly, but also a bit cliquey. They didn't offer me a tour. Everyone I met had been there a while and had different personalities, but they were all nice. A few days after the onsite, they called me to talk about salary. The recruiter said she didn't know what they wanted to pay for the role and asked me for my range. I never heard back after that. My guess is they're looking for someone fresh out of school who's more into getting experience than getting paid. I think it's unprofessional and disrespectful to leave a potential employee hanging after they've taken time to come in for an onsite. For that reason, I don't think this company values its employees.

I found the listing on my university's job portal and applied via email. It took them over a month to get back to me, even after I followed up. Then they scheduled a phone interview that was pretty bad. I'd told them beforehand about a time window I could do because I was finishing a temp job, but the interviewer was 15 minutes late. The call went on for over an hour. When my break was ending, I told them I had to go back to my current job, but they kept talking for another 20 minutes past when I said I'd be available. It was really rude and awkward. The interviewer also argued about business terms with me and talked down to me the whole time. They even said my university wasn't good for jobs in San Francisco. It felt really degrading. I'm only writing this a year later because I didn't want it to affect my job search, but since they're still emailing me job descriptions, I figured I should share. Be careful with phone interviews like this.

It was an extensive interview process that included a phone screen and an in-office component. I did some shadowing and the whole thing took over 2 hours. They had a quick turnaround and the environment was friendly. I had multiple 1:1 meetings. I saw a Craigslist post for it. I met with senior management and received an offer on the spot.

It's a thorough process, but they really want to understand you and your aspirations, even if they aren't directly related to the job right now. They treat their employees like family and offer growth opportunities when they arise.
