The interview process is pretty basic as you’d expect from a part time job. They just want to make sure that you can work at least one weekend day, and if you’re available to work later during the holiday season.

I submitted an online application casually and was contacted by the GM to set up an interview. The interview was scheduled for less than a week out. Upon attending, I was hired immediately. The whole experience was quick, simple, and enjoyable. The GM was friendly and the back room was comfortable. She made jokes and we discussed some of her decorations. During a brief phone call she received, she was polite and it allowed me a moment to prepare my thoughts. The discussion focused on my prior retail work, including queries about my previous role, reasons for leaving, and my strengths and weaknesses, typical for a retail position.

This is basically a standard group interview you'd get in retail. Most of the time, employees are already picked through referrals or when managers hire their old teams. It's a bummer because they snag all the lead spots and have pretty much free reign forever. Yeah, there are a few easy questions, but really, it's just a chat to see who knows whom.
