Applied online and got a call from the GM about a week later to set up an interview. It was pretty standard for retail. They really care about customer service and multitasking because you have to juggle a lot and talk to customers on the sales floor all at once. After the first interview, I met with the GM of another store the next day, and got a job offer two days after that. The whole thing was really fast, which is nice. Make sure you research the company beforehand so you know about the products, the Explorer program, and the company history. Be very business-focused. Knowing the key metrics is super important and shows you can boost sales in your department and help the store succeed overall.

It was a formal interview, but felt a bit more laid-back than others I've experienced. The store manager I spoke with was pretty upfront and didn't shy away from mentioning that the role, if I got it (which I did), is incredibly demanding, moves at a breakneck speed, and requires a significant amount of motivation to succeed.

I had two interviews and it was a really great experience, made me super excited to join the team. First I talked to a supervisor, then I met with the GM. They were both really professional and asked the questions that were on their list, but they also threw in a few of their own. I appreciated that because it's hard to take a company seriously if they just stick to the script. Everyone was very polite.
