It was a pretty smooth and quick interview process. I started with a call from the recruiter, then I had a chat with the hiring manager. After that, I was given a case study to work on and then had to present it to a panel. The last step was one more interview. They got back to me about the next steps about a week after each stage.

Got an email about a week after applying for a phone interview. Replied with my availability and then a few days later they asked if I could interview within the next four hours, which I did. The HR person started by saying we only have 45 minutes and need to be brief. I tried to keep my answers short, but they still interrupted me, making me feel rushed. They also spoke really fast, so I had to ask them to repeat questions, and it felt like they weren't really listening. The interview ended up being only 15 minutes. I don't think I'll continue with the process because it was too unprofessional. They said the next steps would be an assignment and then a panel interview.

I applied for the job and heard back from them via email about two months later. I had two interviews that same week. The first was a screening call with a recruiter where I talked about my unemployment gaps due to COVID and my decision to switch career paths. The recruiter's reaction was unprofessional when I discussed what I was doing while unemployed for over a year, including freelancing and volunteering. I was disappointed but decided to continue. The next day, I was contacted for a meeting with the hiring manager the following day. I was excited to speak with them. The interview seemed to go well, and they appeared impressed with my background. The hiring manager mentioned I should hear back in two weeks due to other scheduled interviews. I expressed my enthusiasm and followed up two weeks later. The recruiter stated they hadn't heard from the hiring manager and would keep me posted. I was never updated and was essentially ghosted. I understand not being the right fit for everyone, but I put in the time to apply, speak with them, and prepare. The least they could do is provide an update. I won't be applying to this company again.

The HR team at WES was very professional and prompt in their responses during the early stages of the interview process. I had an initial phone interview with a member of the HR team, then was contacted about a Skype interview with the head of the department I would be working with, along with another team member. While I was often told one thing about the timeline, it tended to take longer than they estimated. I finally did a writing task as part of a final round, and was told they would make their decision after that. I was shocked to receive an email after going through all three rounds of the interview process that the hiring manager had decided to "restructure the role" and closed the posting. I'm really questioning their professionalism and preparedness to hire a new employee if they decided after going through the complete interview process that they wanted something totally different.
