I applied through Indeed.com and they got back to me fast. I had two interviews on the same day. The first was with the director of the credit analyst department, which was pretty chill. But the interview with the hiring manager was hard. They gave me a test with IQ and technical questions. This was my first real job interview, so I was nervous. I feel like for the salary they offered, they could have been a bit more understanding and cut some slack. People get nervous and forget things, and I think they should have taken that into account. The hiring manager also asked technical questions, which were actually super easy. Like, he asked me to define an accounting term, but used a short form like CDS for Credit Default Swap, which none of my professors taught us. It was tricky hearing new terms when nervous. Even though I messed up the definition part, I tried to show I know accounting by mentioning a financial analysis formula. I guess employers should look for passion and evaluate behavior. If someone's a fast learner, they can pick up the job quick, unless there's no training, then it's not worth it. Just my two cents. Also, I got the impression the hiring manager didn't care much about honesty.
