Media Interview
I applied here mostly for interview practice even though the Glassdoor reviews seemed a bit concerning. I heard back pretty quickly. My first interview was a Zoom with the manager, followed by a writing test, and then a group Zoom interview with people from different departments. The initial chat with the manager went well and made me feel good about the possibility of working there. Then came the writing test. It wasn't overly difficult but given the 2-hour time limit, it was a lot to handle. I felt I could have produced a much better quality response if I'd had two days, but I still got moved forward. The final interview didn't leave a great impression. I answered their questions and we had a decent conversation, but the interview felt really rushed. They ended the call abruptly without even asking if I had any questions for them, which I found unprofessional and rude. The follow-up emails were obviously mass emails sent to everyone, not personalized. I kind of expected this interview to be a bit of a mess going in, but honestly, I felt disrespected and like my time was wasted.
- Were there any standard questions that were difficult to answer?
Research
I had a 30-minute interview at the office. I got there early and had to wait a bit. Then, the HR person and a researcher talked to me about my past research work and my goals for the future.
- What are your plans after you graduate?
- Can you tell me about your research experiences?
- What are your future plans?
Case Manager
It was a pretty easy phone call where they asked some basic questions about my experience and my strengths and weaknesses. I spoke with both Nitika and Alex, and I found them to be easy to talk to and very friendly.
- Can you tell me about your experience and how it fits with this position?
