So, first I had a phone screen to go over my basic skills and how they fit the job. After that went well, I got moved to the next round. About two weeks later, I interviewed with the sales manager, Jesse, and it seemed really positive. He even said at the very end of the interview that I'd be moving on to talk with the VP. But then, the next day, I got an automated email saying they weren't moving forward with me. This totally went against what he told me. I thought maybe it was a mistake, so I called HR. They said they'd check into it and get back to me, but I never heard anything or got an explanation. It felt super disorganized and unprofessional, especially with how they didn't communicate or follow up after saying they would. It makes it seem like they don't really care about candidates' time or communicating clearly.

Behavioral Technical Coding System Design

The interview process was pretty standard. It kicked off with a recruiter call where they expressed interest in my skills and wanted to proceed. The next step involved a meeting with two individuals, one of whom was the team manager. I got the impression they were quite junior, lacking significant technical experience. The conversation largely focused on my past experiences, and I inquired about their tech stack and daily tools. Interestingly, the assistant seemed to lead the discussion more than the manager. Following this, I was given an assessment with three parts: configuring the Workiz dashboard, making modifications via API calls, and writing SQL queries. I completed these tasks, which were quite simple, and was informed that things looked promising. I was initially told I'd hear back early the following week, but that didn't happen. I ended up hearing back towards the end of the week with a vague rejection and no explanation for why I wasn't selected. It's frustrating to spend hours preparing and taking time off work for an interview and not receive any constructive feedback. This lack of professionalism makes me question their work culture, especially given some less-than-stellar Glassdoor reviews.

The interview process had three stages: a phone interview, an in-person interview, and a home task which I didn't get to. The initial phone call was a basic meet-and-greet to get to know each other a bit and review my CV and background. The second interview was on-site, lasted about an hour, and focused on theoretical questions about risk and discussions about my previous relevant experience. It was a pleasant conversation, and the interviewer was very friendly.

Behavioral Technical Coding

I had a short phone chat with HR, then a 15-20 min phone interview with a developer from the team. After that, I went to the office for a one-hour face-to-face meeting with the VP of R&D and a developer. Then another one-hour interview at the office face-to-face with 2 developers. The last interview was a technical interview with coding, which was supposed to be face-to-face but due to the developers not being in the office, it ended up being on Zoom with one of the developers, and they got another developer who wasn't even scheduled to join.
