Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Workiva.
Sales Representative
Went through a few interviews with leadership at different levels (mid, senior, VP). Also had an HR screening which was basic. The interviews focused on my past and current experience and how I'd use my skills, looking for culture fit and job aptitude.
- Tell me about your sales experience and any specific successes you'd like to share.
Sales
The hiring process involved interviews with various people and departments, including sales, marketing, and management. The final step was a panel call focused on strategy and a solution presentation. I had a good experience with the people I met; they were kind and offered constructive feedback.
- How would you approach meeting sales targets?
- Can you share your previous experience selling enterprise software?
Sales Representative
It took about 5 weeks total. A recruiter contacted me, then after some time, I got an email to set up an interview with the hiring manager. The hiring manager didn't do a great job of selling the role. After the interview, I was ghosted, as many others have mentioned, until I followed up. No offer was extended, which wasn't really a surprise, but the whole experience felt unprofessional. You can probably find a better company that's more diverse and actually cares.
- Can you tell me about yourself?
- What do you currently do?
