The interview was a 3-part process. It started with a phone screen, then an in-person interview, and finished with a field interview. This process helps them find someone who fits the role well, and it also lets candidates learn about the job. The people I met were authentic and passionate about their work. WOU gives heart-centered people a chance to help their community. They are genuine people and it was refreshing to talk to them. WOU checked all 3 of my references, and they also said WOU was great to talk with.

The interview was really short, like less than five minutes. The recruiter told me right away that the job was in New Hampshire and that they wouldn't expect someone to move for it unless they were already planning to. I mentioned we were open to relocating, but that didn't seem to be the right answer. They should have just said that only people in New Hampshire should apply before even scheduling an interview. The recruiter also seemed to be trying to discourage me from moving forward. As the head of an organization that helps disabled people, I wouldn't recommend this company to our interns because I wouldn't want them to have the same kind of experience.

The interview process was great. The manager asked great questions, it was important to have good questions to ask about the organization. It was important to do some research on the company, look at the social media posts, and success stories to get a good idea about the companies mission and goals. Overall, I had a great experience during the interview, I felt like I learned a bit more about the organization, and I had more insight on the job role of employment specialist. I accepted the job offer, and I just have to do the general background check among other employment procedures now.

The interview process was very informative for both the employer and myself. It included various steps like an initial phone screening, an interview, and a simulation (shadowing) to see what it's like to meet with clients and what the job would look like. It was a lengthy process but for me, it was well worth it as I am confident in my decision to join the WOU team. The recruitment team also reached out many times to let me know that they were attentive and always answered any questions I had. This is a very responsive company and it is very much appreciated especially in the job market nowadays.
