I applied and got a 2-hour writing test that asked for my salary expectations. Then, a 45-minute phone interview was scheduled. Salary wasn't brought up before this, though the job posting mentioned compensation would be based on experience and degree, with a competitive benefits package. My salary request was within normal ranges for my experience. At the end of the 45-minute phone interview, which I thought went well, the interviewer admitted they hadn't read my writing test and offered a salary $10-20K below my minimum request. I asked if they could be flexible, and they said they'd look into it and get back to me in 3 days. 2.5 weeks later, I got an email saying I wasn't being offered the job, with no clear reason. They didn't apologize for the written test or phone interview given the salary was way too low, nor for implying they might meet my salary request but never following up. Don't bother applying.

I submitted my interest online, and the next day I got a call for an interview. During the interview, I completed the full application and employment forms. After the interview, I had an observation day where I had to meet specific goals for door knocks and pledges. If those goals were met, I was hired. During the observation day, I was paid minimum wage for knocking on doors. The interview itself was pretty straightforward and relaxed.

After submitting my online application, I was contacted via email to schedule a phone interview. The first phone interview was basically a screening to see if I was a good fit for a second interview. The second interview was supposed to be on Skype but ended up being over the phone. After that, they didn't contact me or email me to let me know I didn't get the job. Then, two weeks later, I got a weird email to set up an initial interview, I guess they forgot they already interviewed me. They were really unorganized.

I applied on idealist.org and they called me a month later to schedule a phone interview. Had the phone interview two weeks later and then was asked that day to schedule an in-person interview for 3 weeks later. The phone interview was pretty straightforward, just some information about the company and any questions I had for them. One question I wasn't prepared for was "What book have I read that I would recommend to them." Then came to DC and met in the office for about 30 minutes and discussed my leadership experiences and most hardworking experience.. got an email 1 week later saying I wasn't offered the position.
