I had a phone call with a recruiter for a Marketing Manager role. She was a little late but we talked for the planned 15 minutes. She said I met her requirements and wanted to move me to the next step. We discussed salary and it seemed positive. I gave her my availability and she said I'd get a meeting invite later that day. I followed up but never heard back and didn't get the invite. I sent two more emails over a few weeks expressing interest but never got a response.

It was a pretty easy going conversation with both hiring managers. They asked about my academic load and outside involvement. They gave me a tour of the facility and introduced me to some of the workers while explaining the major job functions for the shift I was applying for. I also was introduced to some staff who I would not be working with on a daily basis but would need to know in the even of an emergency or incident. There were two hiring managers so be sure to split time looking at each of them.

The interview process had 3 people asking a bunch of technical and background questions. Then there's a hire form you gotta fill out with details for at least 3 past jobs. If you get an offer, you need to do a hair drug test.

I went through the interview process for this role over a month ago and haven't heard back at all. It's frustrating when companies don't follow up, especially given the current job market. It would be better if companies waited to post job openings until they are actually ready to hire or have the capacity to decide on candidates.
