I got a call from the company recruiter after submitting my resume. She conducted a brief 15-minute phone interview and then set up a meeting with the manager, Trey, for the next morning. The interview itself was straightforward, and at the end, I had to complete a disc test. Trey reviewed my results with me and suggested I take it home for my husband to look over and share his thoughts. After my background check cleared, he called to offer me a spot in their upcoming training class.

I sat down with a guy who seemed like he had never interviewed anyone before. He was kinda awkward and didn't seem very confident. He read questions straight off a paper. After I answered them, he asked me stuff that's illegal to ask, like my age, if I was married, my wife's age, if I had kids or planned to, and about my car. I know this stuff isn't relevant because I have a lot of hiring experience. Then I took a computer test. As I was leaving, they stopped me and asked if I had a few more minutes and then they asked some more random questions off the cuff. Turns out the interviewer was the national manager, Jeff. It was pretty sad that the national manager couldn't even interview properly. Not a good experience overall.

It's a pretty straightforward interview process. They ask some basic questions and then you have to complete this assessment called DISC. For DISC, you're shown four words and pick the one that's most like you and the one that's least like you. The result gives you a detailed report on your potential workplace personality, which you can actually use to make your resume look better.

First, there was a quick phone call. Then, they set up a main interview, which lasted around 30 minutes. After that, you have to do a DiSC assessment. Once your background check results are in, you'll be scheduled for the training class.
