First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Wood Partners.
Accountant
It was a nice conversation. The Controller was super friendly and welcoming. They asked me about my past work and experience at my last job. No super technical stuff, it felt more like a check on my personality.
- Have you experienced the joint venture process from start to finish for a real estate deal?
Manager
Went through two interviews, but never got any updates or callbacks. They gave false hope during the interviews. Didn't get any email or feedback on why I didn't get the job, and the position stayed open for a long time after.

Leasing Specialist
So, the typical process is you apply, then there's an assessment. After that, they schedule your first interview in person. Then they schedule a second interview over the phone with the regional manager. After that, there's a background and drug screening. Then you get an offer letter, sign and accept it, and then your start date is established.
- How do you deal with objections?
- Can you tell me the 10 benchmark questions?
- What's your approach to handling an unhappy resident or guest?
Sales Representative
I was first contacted by the temp agency I was working with about this role. The first interview was really quick, easy, and actually pretty fun. The interviewer had a lot of energy and was a great salesman! I ended up having two more interviews after that before I was hired. I spoke with the VP of the Western Division and the Marketing Director. The atmosphere was great and the questions were pretty straightforward.
- Can you tell me about your weaknesses?
- What would you consider to be your strengths?
- What makes you a good fit for this company?
