Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Wonolo.
Key Account Manager
It was a smooth process, and they kept me in the loop a lot. The interviews were structured in levels, ending with a panel interview that included several team members and some higher-ups. They really seem to put thought into who they hire.
- Can you tell me about your background based on your resume?
- Let's do a scenario-based roleplay where you act as a Key Account Manager.
- I'd like to ask some questions to get to know you better.
Account Manager
The interview process included an initial phone screen with Wonolo's Head of Talent followed by two in-person visits, which consisted of a group interview and several 1:1 interviews (including a final meeting with Wonolo's CEO, Yong). It was an enjoyable interview experience -- each person was extremely welcoming and clearly conveyed Wonolo's culture and vision. Also, it was evident that Wonolo's Head of Talent was genuinely invested in ensuring a professional and positive process, and was very organized, communicative and responsive.
- Describe a challenging account with significant client pushback and difficulties. What was the situation, what actions did you take, and what was the result?
Strategic Account Manager
It was a 2 month process with 2 phone screens and 3 in-person interviews. I first spoke with a recruiter, then the Sr. Director of Biz ops. The in-person interviews included people from the team I'd join, leads of teams I'd work with, the executive team, and a group interview with a rep from each department. The vibe was pretty relaxed and felt more like conversations than a Q&A. Talking with the CEO and COO gave me a good feel for the company culture, which really makes Wonolo unique.
- Tell me about a time you collaborated with other teams to meet a client's needs.
